  2. Financial Information – Bank account details (for royalty settlements and payments), ledger entries, TDS information, invoices

  3. Business Transactions – Royalty data from distributors (such as Facebook, YouTube, JioSaavn, Wynk, Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify, Hungama, TikTok, Resso, Vodafone, etc.)

  4. Tax and Compliance Information – PAN, GST, invoices, TDS deductions, compliance with applicable Indian tax laws

  5. Usage Data – When artists and distributors interact with our platforms or communication channels.

3. How We Use the Information

We process the collected data for:

  • Royalty Distribution: Calculating and disbursing shares as per contract: Artist 80% and Sapna Music/Hafizur Rahman 20%

  • Financial Reporting: Maintaining accurate ledgers, reconciliations, and audit records

  • Tax Compliance: Deducting and reporting TDS (10%) on behalf of PDL and filing relevant tax documents

  • Business Communication: Sending invoices, agreements, royalty statements, and settlement confirmations to artists and distributors.

  • Legal Obligations: Ensuring compliance with Indian Company Law, Income Tax Act, and Intellectual Property Rights laws.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. However, your information may be shared with:

  1. Distributors (PDL & Others): To facilitate royalty collection and settlements.

  2. Financial Institutions: Banks (e.g., SBI, UCO Bank, etc.) to process royalty transfers

  3. Regulatory Authorities: Income Tax Department, GST authorities, or other government agencies as required by law.

  4. Auditors & Legal Advisors: For compliance, audits, and dispute resolution.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • All financial data and ledger records are securely maintained in encrypted systems and banking channels

  • We implement strict access controls so that only authorized personnel can view sensitive financial data.

  • Regular audits are conducted to ensure integrity and transparency.

6. Data Retention

  • Financial records, invoices, and ledger data are retained for minimum 3 years in compliance with Indian tax and corporate regulations.

  • Artist agreements and royalty distribution records are retained for the duration of the contract plus 5 years.

  • Seek clarification on TDS deductions and compliance reports.

  • Request corrections to personal/financial information.

  • Opt out of promotional communications.

If Sapna Music hosts any online platform (website/app), cookies may be used to enhance user experience. Such data will not include sensitive financial or tax information.

9. International Data Transfers

Although our business operates primarily in India, certain distributors (like Facebook, YouTube, Spotify) are international. In such cases, your royalty and artist data may be transferred outside India under standard contractual safeguards.

  • Indian Income Tax Act, 1961 (TDS on royalties).

  • Companies Act, 2013.

  • IT Rules, 2011 & Digital Data Protection Bill, 2023 (India).

  • Intellectual Property Rights Laws for content ownership.
